Andreessen Horowitz (A16Z) is a capital firm that invests in early-stage companies such as Instagram, Airbnb, Pinterest, and Roblox. When they planned to move into their new LA headquarters located in a historic landmark building in Santa Monica, Studio Other was engaged to design 48 custom workstations and 10 custom conference tables. Working closely with architecture and design firm Blitz, we designed furniture that fit the vision for a warm and residential feeling space. With the goal of functional and clean design that concealed clunky wires and tech, we utilized multi-ply and laminate surfaces with powder coated steel and wire management. Workstations included A16Z branding on the dividers. The simple palette complemented the historic building and established a clean and uncluttered environment.
