Longfellow San Mateo Science Center

San Mateo Science Center provides Class A life sciences, creative technology, and office space. Working closely with Forge, Studio Other curated furniture for the reception, lobby, café, and training room.

The client wanted to create a gathering hub for their tenants to engage and cross-pollinate. With this in mind, Forge had a strong vision for the space to capture the warmth of a boutique hotel or high-end home. For that reason, the design process was more akin to designing a home instead of a commercial space.

Therefore, Studio Other thoughtfuly curated a collection of lounge furniture with materials that created a warm inviting feel, such as bronzes, rusts, and leathers.
